As a Consulting Hypnotist I help ordinary, everyday people with ordinary, everyday problems using individual hypnotic techniques. I combine behavioral strategies, mindfulness training, motivational enhancement and relapse prevention skills to help you achieve your goals.
My professional journey began 19 years ago working as a mental health specialist at a psychiatric hospital. There I was first introduced to the idea of mind-body medicine, and lead weekly group sessions focused on guided meditation and relaxation.
I graduated from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Southern California, the first accredited college of hypnosis in the United States. I also received a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. I am currently completing the MicroMasters in Social Work credential from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Throughout my career, I have completed thousands of hours of advanced training, hundreds of hours of supervision, and exceeded the "10,00 hour rule" in my private practice. I am a Professional Member of the American Hypnosis Association and an Associate Member of the National Association of Social Workers.
