As a Consulting Hypnotist I help ordinary, everyday people with ordinary, everyday problems. I combine behavioral strategies, mindfulness training, motivational enhancement, relapse prevention skills, and individual hypnotic techniques to help you achieve your goals.
My professional journey began 20 years ago working as a mental health specialist at a psychiatric hospital. There I was first introduced to the idea of mind-body medicine, and led weekly group sessions focused on guided meditation and relaxation.
I graduated from the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Southern California, the first accredited college of hypnosis in the United States. I also received a Certificate in Positive Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and training in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. I am currently completing a Social Work credential from the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
Throughout my career, I have completed thousands of hours of advanced training, hundreds of hours of clinical supervision, and exceeded the "10,000 hour rule" in my professional practice.
